Speaking Your Truth Vol II: Courageous Stories of Inspiring Women

With the publication of this book, I feel very honoured to be in the company of so many courageous and inspiring women.  I also feel very privileged to be part of the first collection featuring a section on grief and loss.

Women from all over the world and so many walks of life have contributed. What you will read will move and inspire you, will speak to your heart and touch your soul. In Speaking Your Truth you will find a collection of 43 individual stories, written by women for women. Their stories make up the sections on Self-Discovery, Family Matters, Surviving to Thriving, Grief and Loss, Finding Your Path, and Faith and Spirituality.

I tell of the night my life changed forever with the car accident that later claimed my youngest son's life. In The Whirlwind I describe the rawness and pain that is grief, the abyss and nightmare that I found myself in. I also tell of the pivotal decision I made and how my life became what it is today.  It is a story of hope and a story of renewal.

"In the beginning, all was calm, with the occasional turbulence on stormy days. Then it changed forever and ever.The day started out as many others had; I had no premonition or feeling that it would be any different. On reflection that bothered me. I had always thought that when something catastrophic happened in life, I would get a nudge or a poke. “Oy! Look out! Boy are you in for it!” Nothing. Normal. ZILCH. I finished work that day oblivious to the turbulent winds swirling, sweeping, silent and savage, which were about to descend. They knew. I, on the other hand, was blissfully unaware as I nudged the blankets back that night and fell soundly asleep."
